Southern Tier's natural gas eyed for extraction (again)

December 5, 2023 - About nine years after the Cuomo administration officially blocked efforts to extract methane from the Southern Tier using fracking, a new group of prospectors have a plan to get at the gas with an extraction method they claim is environmentally friendly.
