The United Nations office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, or UNOCHA, in Sudan says about 14.3 million people across Sudan will need humanitarian assistance in 2022; South Sudan’s health ministry is denying a report that more than eighty people died of a mysterious illness in Fangak County of Jonglei state, saying instead there was an upsurge of malaria cases in the area; Residents in the Jonglei state capital Bor say the ongoing civil servants’ strike is disrupting their normal lives.
