A senior South Sudanese church leader is urging the newly unified command of the country’s security forces to respect the permanent ceasefire agreement signed by the parties to the 2018 peace deal; Military leaders of the SPLM-In-Opposition Kit-Gwang faction are expressing concern about delays in implementing a peace agreement they signed with the SPLM-In- government three months ago; Some lawmakers from South Sudan's Unity State legislative assembly have petitioned the national government in Juba over environmental pollution due to disregard for proper waste management by oil companies in their area; A 24-year-old man of South Sudanese heritage was shot in Syracuse, New York Saturday morning. Akol Lual later died in the hospital.
