South-East Clare Councillor Makes Renewed Calls For Second NCT Centre In County

A Sixmilebridge Councillor insists the sole NCT centre in Clare doesn't have the capacity to deal with the car population in the county. In May of last year, the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) confirmed that the development of a centre in Shannon had been halted ‘due to significant contractual difficulties'. The NCTS confirmed in July that two alternative sites had been identified, however no progress has been seen since. Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe, says a second centre is needed to deal with the high number of cars in the south-east of the county.
