In this Christmas Special based on a cancelled Sega Saturn game, and then subsequently re-named after a non-cancelled Sega Saturn game, Sonic must rescue Santa Clause from Dr. Robotnik in order to save Christmas. And the only way he can accomplish this is by hang-gliding, climbing a mountain and...dirt biking? Okay, what the heck, that can't be right. Who TF thought this was a good idea?
