Sobriety, the Matrix, and how the first 90 days loops

<p>Ep #150 - Another milestone podcast. Sobriety is a journey from the trance-like state of living in the bubble society provides for us and sliding into the reality of the life we are actually living.</p> <p>You signed up for this. You committed yourself to this journey. Fear, anxiety, stress, self-doubt, and so many more undesirable emotions are awaiting you on this journey. BUT, and this is key, BUT - these emotions were waiting for you in addiction too. Sobriety doesn't take these emotions out of your life, it removes your ability to mute yourself, to push away the undesirable emotions. Now, you live in the real world, where emotions are going to come at you like a tsunami wave, and you aren't able to hide behind the Great Wall of intoxication.</p> <p>This is something to embrace. This new reality is a blessing. Each time you journey into the core of an undesirable emotion, each time you experience the growth through it - these actions habituate you toward an emotional balanced and grounded life. </p> <p>You were in the Matrix. Now you are in the Nebuchadnezzar and it is time to master the life skills that will strategically become your arsenal of defense, strength, resiliency, discipline, fortitude, and tenacity.</p> <p>It is time. It has been time. To live is to shine.
