Silvio Schembri of Malta, the Blockchain Island

As the unstoppable crypto tide rolls forward, we are seeing more and more governments attempt to make decisions as to how they are going to manage the blockchain beast. More oppressive or regressive nations are opting to outlaw cryptocurrency. Others are exploring it’s potential with a cautiously optimistic outlook. But at least one country is embracing blockchain to the extreme, going so far as to label itself the Blockchain Island. That country is Malta, and today you’ll meet Silvio Schembri, Malta’s Junior Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation.
