Description
A Clare recruiter says a drought in accommodation has resulted in a knock-on negative impact on job recruitment. It comes as the latest Morgan McKinley Quarterly Employment Monitor has found there was an almost 17% drop in job opportunities in Ireland in September. The figures also revealed a drop of over a third in permanent positions compared to the third quarter last year, while contract jobs fell by 8%. Director and Co-Founder of CareerWise Recruitment in Shannon, Joe Robbins, believes the main problems in employment are specialised skill shortages and accommodation.
