Shannon NCT Centre Halted

The National Car Testing Service (NCTS) has confirmed that the development of a centre in Shannon has been halted 'due to significant contractual difficulties' and that 'alternative locations in the area are being sourced'. Scariff Deputy Michael McNamara has expressed shock, saying he'd previously been told that works were near to completion on the site in the Smithstown Industrial Estate, including the construction of the centre’s steel structure. He's been telling Clare FM's Rebecca O'Sullivan that t's the people of Clare who will suffer by this latest development.
