Shakira Henley-Fessler

<p>Shakira Henley-Fessler is a singer, published writer, poet, and performer. She was born and raised on the Eastside of Buffalo, NY. Being brought up in the Baptist Church played a major part in her musical preferences.</p> <p>She has performed with multiple choirs and churches in NY &amp; MA and competed at NYC’s famous Apollo Theater’s Amateur Competition coming in 1st and 2nd place at the 5 shows she competed in.</p> <p>Her poetry is generally about/for herself and the people she cares for. She has had two short poems published.
