Seun was supposed to be on tour before his arrest – Femi Kuti

<p>Grammy-nominated afrobeat artiste, Femi Kuti, has said his younger brother, Seun Kuti was supposed to be on tour currently but was detained days before he started.</p>, <p>Femi stated this on Friday at one of his tours in France.</p>, <p>He, however, said the Kuti family was solidly behind Seun, adding that they are expecting positive results soon.</p>, <p>He said his case was being handled by “one of the best lawyers.”</p>, <p>Femi said, “Just before we embark on this tour, my brother Seun got arrested. Unfortunately, I can’t talk about it because it’s in court…But I want you all to know that we have one of the best lawyers. The family is solidly behind him (Seun Kuti) and we do hope for a positive result at the end of the day. He is supposed to be on tour. And then the bail was granted but they extended the detention.”</p>, <p>He added that he is doing all within his power to make sure Seun is released soon.</p>, <p>DAILY POST recalls that Seun Kuti was arrested and detained after he was captured assaulting a uniformed police officer in a viral video.</p>
