Seen & Heard Part I

Growing up some children are told they are to "be seen & not heard." Do parents fully understand the damage that could do to their child? Do they feel like it is simply a joke or saying their parents told them? Or do they actually want you to not use your voice? We might be able to fully know the root of it all, however we know the impact it has had on some.
