Join nerd power couple Alex and Elayne as we take a chapter-by-chapter dive into the classic sci-fi Dune series by Frank Herbert. Elayne is a prolific sci-fi/fantasy reader who has somehow let this classic series slip by, while Alex is diving into his second read and will be our resident “expert”. <br /><br />In this episode, we introduce ourselves and our plan for this podcast and take a look at the first three chapters of Dune, in which an old lady gets her creep on, a teenager gets tortured, campy supervillains gloat about their evil plans, and our main character Paul learns he might be the mysterious chosen one of a ladies-only cult who breed humans like prize racehorses.
