Sea Sick - Audio

Have you ever been sea sick? If you haven’t, it is a mess. Even on a big boat, being tossed around by the waves, can make you feel queasy and off balance. It even makes you not want to eat because it may not stay with you. At times, you just wish it would be over. It makes you want to give up. That is much like the story here in Acts where Paul is on a big boat headed to Rome to be put on trial. Paul told the one in charge of the boat that they should not go because there was trouble ahead. But, the boat captain went anyway. They encountered a storm almost immediately. They tried everything they could to keep the boat afloat, but nothing worked and the boat was wrecked. It is like our lives sometimes when we try it our way and don’t even consider God. It can end up making us so sick that we lose hope and wreck. God wants to help us not get in that position by trusting in him.
