At the time of recording nobody knew if the spanner would stop interfering and let the deal go through, or if the plastic rivals would be having flags printed to celebrate it as a victory, but it’s victories on the pitch that matter most, and those same ‘rivals’ are the first challenge for Klopp’s side this new season.
