<p>Tonight’s guest is renowned sports journalist, broadcaster, and author Sal Maiorana. Sal has been the dean of Buffalo sports writers for 32 years with the <em>Rochester Democrat and Courier</em>. He has covered the Buffalo Bills for over 27 years (which makes Sal the longest tenured beat writer in Bills franchise history. Sal has received numerous and honors from the City of Rochester, NY, and from distinguished New York State media associations and services for his stellar work as a sports journalist. And his sports journalistic work is not solely confined to the greater Buffalo area. He has published innumerable articles in national sports journals and websites covering a broad array of topics from football to golf to lacrosse.</p> <p>Sal published his first book in 1992 and since then has published over 15 different books covering the full spectrum of North American sports and all of which receiving critical acclaim from his peers and the public.</p> <p>Last March Sal released “When Buffalo stood atop the Sports World” which chronicles Buffalo sports during the mid-1970s when its sports franchises the Sabres, the Bills, and the Braves in the NBA were at their peak of their respective powers.</p> <p>No longer content with sports writing, Sal is presently working on a historical novel of 1968 where he explores the seminal, sublime, severe, savage, and sad moments of that epochal year in American year which can be read on-line at SalMaiorana.com</p>
