S6E11: Say Her Name: Black Women We Need to Know and Remember

<p>What does it mean to be a Black woman in America today? America has never been a safe place for Black women yet somehow we are truly the backbone of this country.</p> <p>We are the givers and doers.  #SayHerName and the current buzzword, Intersectionality, were both brought to our attention by Dr. Kimberle Cresnhaw- a Black woman.</p> <p>How many other contributions have Black women made that many do not know about? We will no longer be invisible.</p> <p>In today’s episode, we say the names of Black women who were killed by the police. We also say the names of a few of the many Black women who have contributed to the advancements of this nation. Lady, we want you to know showing up and being your authentic self is possible.
