People have this innate fear of talking and connecting with strangers and it is human. In chapter two of my book, I sort of go in and ask the reader to scan top eight excuses that come up to avoid connecting with people. I then ask them to pick the one that really resonates for them and I jump into it. Networking to some degree sounds hard because there's a net underneath, you're working. I truly believe that if you want to stay employed for the rest of your life, you definitely want to net around your work. But connecting is so much more because when it is about trying to infuse that little moment of time with intangible fun. We really get hard on ourselves and it's like from the outside to the inside, humans second guess themselves.
