S2 EP40 - Kate Holm - Hospital birth + Homebirth

Today I interview Kate about her two positive births. Although wanting a homebirth, financially at the time it wasn’t a viable option so she opted to get into the local hospital’s Midwifery Group Practice. She went on to have a natural, water birth. When her family decided to relocate to New Castle, knowing they offered publicly funded homebirth was a great bonus in their decion to move, giving her the dream homebirth she desired. Kate shares how some valuable last minute advice from her doula helped her relax enough to bring on labour and she explains what the acronym BRAIN means, a favourite she uses with her clients as a naturopath and nutritionist.
