S1 EP 135: The real Carl Zalak III, County Commissioner District #4, Marion County, Fl.

Who is Carl Zalak III? Do we really know anymore? Has he turned his back on his constituents, and the proud Marion County citizens that elected him to this position?    Let's break down the facts about Mr. Carl Zalak shall we? For the ones unaware, Mr. Zalak is a commissioner from District 4 in Marion County who is up for re-election this year. He recently voted for an amendment to the comprehensive plan for two developments on route 318 in the Farmland Preservation Area. If you actually look at the list of itemized contributions from his recent political race, Zalak has few grass root citizen donations but instead, developers, construction companies and real estate establishments are funding his campaign.  Make no mistake... this is political established corruption, folks.  These donations were awarded just last month, right before important hearings on March 1st that will amend the comprehensive plan forever.   So, Mr. Zalak, we have to ask? 🤔 Is this a coincidence or a strategy for commissioner Zalak to win his re-election? Zalak even received a $1,000 personal donation from Bernard Little. He is the President of Horse Farms Forever. Horse Farms Forever is a watch dog that is supposed to be protecting the open spaces and beautiful places of Ocala and Marion County.  In their mission statement, they are “to preserve the character and culture that horses, horse farms and the 193,000 acre Farmland Preservation Area (FPA) bring to Marion County.” But Horse Farms Forever isn’t following this mission, instead they are in favor of the Route 318 development even though it is in the Farmland Preservation Area and will affect many residents who own small farms and agricultural ranches, damage natural resources while creating an overflow of traffic on a rural roadway and begin a trend that will destroy land and change the trajectory of the beauty of the county, forever.    I also discuss an alternative this time around and that alternative is one candidate that stands heads and tails above all others and
