Reggae music was constantly evolving in the 70s and 80s. Studios and producers were always experimenting with new styles & sounds which influence the Dub and Roots that you hear today. In Roots Conversation, I will be taking you on a journey through different sub-genres of Reggae to show how much its definition keeps on changing.

I started off listening to Bob Marley and the Wailers, as everyone does, but then I got bored of just listening to one band, so I explored other artists and producers - Lee "Scratch" Perry, Burning Spear, The Gladiators, Horace Andy & Bullwackies Allstars to name but a few. Now I know more about the history of the genre and its various styles, and I've found some new bands to enjoy. I'd like to share that with you.

★ Support this podcast ★
