RockerMike and Rob Presents: The Amoeba Teen Amoeba Teen were founded by critically acclaimed songwriting team of Mark Britton and Mike Turner. Armed with a four-track tape recorder and junk shop guitars, the pair began writing together back in the dying embers of the last century. Classic guitar pop disciples, Amoeba Teen, regenerate the genre of melodic songwriting, lush harmonies and chiming guitars. Early success stalled, but the attention of radio and music journalists and the support from a core of determined fans who sought Amoeba Teen out one by one, convinced the band to push on with refining their craft.  Likened to the titans of guitar power pop, the West Midlands’ natives shun such comparisons, preferring to reinterpret the genre by incorporating influences from the world of low-fi post-punk, alternative rock and alt-country.
