“Deadly” Rob Medley recounts his journey from stepping into a boxing gym at 8yo to becoming a 2-time World Title Challenger. He describes his sparring partner Daniel Geale as a chess player and tells us how the ring broke when he fought sporting rival turned lifelong friend, Jamie Pittman. He also tells of his famous bout with Anthony Mundine, where the weight division was altered in Mundine’s favour days out from the fight. Rob confirms he is now retired and content living in the bush, and cheating his mates at cards, but misses the camaraderie and banter at the Grange Gym.
