We may have a good handle on the doctrine of Jesus, but fully understanding worship, the heart of it, is to understand and enjoy intimacy with him. To be in proximity to God is to understand that his sacrifice, sending his son Jesus...it was enough, more than enough. And choosing a life free of sin and shame, being fed up trying to do it on our own, owning up to our sinful ways, offering ourselves up, and then praising him, these are the steps that begin the process of rediscovering what worship is supposed to look like in our lives.
