<p>In this week's research review, Alex explores the relationship between cartilage loss and osteoarthritis related pain. The focus in the management and prevention of future deterioration of osteoarthritis pain has focused around the concept of chondral surface protection and in some cases regeneration. However, there has never been an established link showing a definitive relationship between loss of cartilage leading to increased pain.
