Report highlights use of force trends, but more data needed

July 19, 2021 - The state recently released a collection of use of force data compiled by police departments all over New York. Michael Sisitzky, a senior policy counselor for the New York Civil Liberties Union, helps makes sense of what the data means, explains the shortcomings of the information and makes the case for new use of force rules in the state.
