Renee Rosenmann - The Mist Unlikely Face of Addiction

<p>Graduating from college as an Addiction Counselor enables me to be supportive and compassionate with those who have struggled and are still struggling. I am always here for you.<br>When I was unable to perform a miracle to remove the illness of schizophrenia from my younger son, I did a total dive off life's radar and for 15 years became a daily user of illicit drugs to combat my descent into hideous depression.<br>I conquered that state of mind and consider myself truly capable to assist those who can't.<br>I am just beginning a new career as a<br>Facilitative Housing Worker and am presently training to be a somatic therapist.<br>lam an advocate for the #homeless, for those with #schizophrenia and #psychosis and a #LivedExperience (First Voice) Research Advisor assisting new forms of education with the use of #artificialintelligence in the health and wellness industries.<br>I am endeavouring to use life experience, education, and work experience to make this world a little better.<br>I believe in fighting for the end of stigma.<br>Life doesn't stop when you are a senior. My hope is to create new awareness and solutions for seniors with addiction and unresolved trauma issues; the majority of whom have fallen through the cracks.
