<p><strong>Monday 7 June</strong></p> <p>Rejoice- Joy Reloaded 1</p> <p>This week; we are “REJOICE” which is simply joy reloaded.</p> <p>When I think about the word “joy”, I usually think of it in the form of oil. And oil is this liquid that has some viscosity, freshness, thickness and stickiness because of these qualities it is used in holding back the effect of ware and tare in metals that results from friction.</p> <p>Isaiah 61: 3 (NKJV),</p> <p>To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes,</p> <p>The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;</p> <p>That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”</p> <p>Here the bible likens joy to oil just like we said earlier. Life, like two metals in contact, can be full of friction. Daily we rub against people and situations that are not pleasant. This friction from rubbing together can create all sorts of wear and tare which negatively impacts our lives. Just like ware and tare can knock a car engine when it has no oil or when the oil is not fresh, so it is with human beings. If we lack a fresh supply of the oil of joy in the midst of the continuous friction of life, it can knock us out. The way to keep our joy fresh is to always REJOICE- reload your joy!</p> <p>When the oil in your machine is no longer fresh what do you do? You drain it out completely and put in fresh oil with good viscosity and stickiness. If the oil is not fresh and still in the engine, it will adversely affect performance, it will ultimately run down the engine. Knowing the impact that fresh oil has on performance the Psalmist said in Ps. 92:10-11 (NLT)</p> <p>10 But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. 11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; My ears hear my desire on the wicked Who rise up against me.</p> <p>We keep the oil of joy fresh when we rejoice continually. We keep rejoicing, we can get knocked down but we cannot be knocked out, we will
