We are getting clarification on what it means to NOT respond to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for your sins, by looking at 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10 in the Amplified Bible that says: 8 "dealing out [full and complete] vengeance to those who do not [seek to] know God and to those who ignore and refuse to obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus [by choosing not to respond to Him]. 9 These people will pay the penalty and endure the punishment of everlasting destruction, banished from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day [that is, glorified through the changed lives of those who have accepted Him as Savior and have been set apart for His purpose], and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed and trusted [and confirmed in your lives]." What THEN should be our proper response to the mercy and grace that God, in His love, bestowed upon the world by sending Jesus to die that violent, brutal death on the cross? Christ Jesus suffered so that we don't face holy God's righteous wrath! HE SAVED US FROM THE WRATH TO COME! Your reaction to this Good News will determine where you will spend all of eternity! Refusing and ignoring Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection and not seeking to know God, will end in your eternal ruin and destruction! Revelation 20:15 tells us those names who are not found written in the Book of Life, will be thrown into the Lake of Fire FOR ALL OF ETERNITY! OUR RESPONSE TO THE GOSPEL IS A RESOUNDING "YES LORD!"
