As we look to the parable of the ten virgins, we see that half of them were foolish and ill-prepared to meet the Bridegroom! The other half, who were wise, were ready to go with well lit lamps that were full of oil when the Bridegroom showed up after dark! The half that was not prepared, could not attend the wedding feast - for the door was shut! It was too late! They didn't think it was important enough to be ready when the Bridegroom returned and therefore, suffered the consequence! Jesus gives this parable for a reason. We must be ready and stay ready for His assured revealing! For He will come like a thief in the night for those who are not prepared to meet Him! The Lord Jesus Christ tells His followers to not only be waiting for His return, but endure all persecution, tribulations, trials, and even death, in the meantime, especially if we are that generation to see the Antichrist rise to power! Jesus warned: 21" For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (Matthew 24). IT'S ABOUT TO GET HECTIC! Lukewarm Christian's faith will be greatly tested during this time of great tribulation and many will fall away! Why? Because they were not prepared to go through the Tribulation; they thought they would escape before it even got started! Born-again believers are commissioned to preach the Gospel and to be "salt and light" in a depraved, godless, Christ-rejecting, unrepentant world! Not to mention, sitting up under false teachers who teach false doctrine - namely, that you can continue to live in
