<p>"Finally, the man stopped, “You have nothing of value.” He said gruffly.</p> <p>She nodded, “When my husband died, he didn’t leave us anything. We are too poor. I don’t think we can pay you…” Her voice trailed off.</p> <p>“The debt will be paid!” He screeched.</p> <p>She hid her face into her hands, crouching low to avoid getting hit.</p> <p>Would he hit her? She wasn’t sure – all she knew was that he was enraged.</p> <p>Slowly she looked up and straightened on the stool, relief flooding through her being.</p> <p>The thin man stopped pacing and glared her way, “Your husband borrowed a lot of money, and YOU WILL pay it back.”</p> <p>“How?” Her voice shook.</p> <p>She skimmed the empty room – there was nothing of value she could possibly sell.</p> <p>The man scanned the room, he looked like a wild lion, who waited in the shadows for its prey.
