Q&A Time: The significant growth component included in the S&P 500 Index. Dangerous or not?

Year to date at Vanguard, the growth index is down 2.58% and the value index is up 7.52%. How far do you think that this rotation will go? I heard a commentator say last week that S&P 500 index funds are dangerous because they contain a significant growth component.
