Prophecy - The Church - Philippians 3:20-23, 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 - Prog 04

Our study continues with prophecy concerning the church the body of Christ. We are reminded that the church is not Israel and Israel is not the church. This is once again brought out in ACTS 15:14-18. In this lesson, Dr. Mitchell brings out the personal hope of the individual Christian which is to be with Christ. This is found in Philippians 2:20-23. He then goes on to present the hope of the Church, the body of Christ, which is the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven as found in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. We correspondingly we are exhorted from Romans 13:11-14 where we read that our salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed.
