Romans 13:11 - Besides this, knowing the time, that the hour has come for you to awaken out of sleep, for our salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed. We are exhorted from this passage to wake up to the conditions in this present time for the coming of the Lord is nearer than ever before. Prophecy is even now being fulfilled as is evident from the nation of Israel becoming a nation again in 1948. Dr. Mitchell will direct our attention to 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 where we read of the coming of the Lord from heaven for the church. This was first spoken by our Lord Jesus Himself in John 14:1-6. This event is also known as the rapture. Let's turn to 1Thessalonians 4:13.
