Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.”</p><p>This was the first recorded episode of my "Sleep Story" series, with which I hoped, and continue to hope, to facilitate your transition to sleep. </p><p>In this episode, I read to you an excerpt from Jane Austen's finest work, "Pride and Prejudice". </p><p>We jump into the plot in media res: it's the moment in the story at which Lady Catherine (rather unsubtly, and with complete indecorum) tries to dissuade Elizabeth from pursuing Mr. Darcy--to whom Lady Catherine wishes to wed her own daughter. </p><p>Listen as long as you can!
