Prayer is Talking to the Sovereign of the Universe

<p>Air Date: 08 23 21</p> <p> </p> <p>True prayer is an approach of the soul by the Spirit of God to the throne of God.  Prayer is one of the most important activities in our lives because we are actually talking to the sovereign God of the universe who has all power and knowledge. He understands how we feel, knows what we think, and has the power to intervene in every area of life. God is sovereign and has a plan for our lives which requires that we walk in step with Him and that we pray.</p> <p> </p> <p>The opening verses of James 4  describes the flare of the flesh as a hindrance to our seeking God and His answers.  Our intellect and emotions create a white static so that our inner self, our spirit is not perceiving God and turning to Him.  James defines the very alienated sinful nature in terms of wars and striving but it is fundamentally in regard to the natural perspective, that sense and reasoning without the Holy Spirit which can be to varying degrees hindering our spirits.
