Power of The Promises Pt 2

<p>Hello and a beautiful morning to you in the name of Jesus!</p> <p>We’re still talking about the promises and we’re actually dealing with promises fulfilled.</p> <p>There are promises that have been fulfilled in Christ and I pray that as you set your mind on these things, you will see the manifestation of these promises in our lives so that you will not experience the darkness, the violence and the pain of this world. The grace for exemption will work for you, your family and your loved ones in the name of Jesus.</p> <p>1Kings 17:13-16 (NLT)</p> <p>“But Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you’ve said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!” So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.”</p> <p>There was an economic recession in the land. There had been no rain, there was no food for anybody. Elijah had been by the brook of Cherith - The Lord told him to stay there. After a while the brook dried up. God then said “Go to this widow’s house. I have commanded her to provide for you. Elijah goes to see this widow and meets her where she was trying to get some food and just gather some little sticks. I’m sure when Elijah saw her,he wasn’t sure that she was the right person. He said “woman, can I have some water?” God must have said to Elijah “I didn’t tell you to ask for water, I told you to ask for food!” Elijah turned to her and said “as you are bringing me water, bring me some food.” The woman said “we can’t do that - we just have enough for myself and my son before we die.” But God had sent Elijah to preserve that woman and her family.
