Cameroon hasn't quite eased up its battle against polio, despite being declared free of the disease earlier this year. It's launched an immunisation drive against a particular strain of the virus. Also, Kenya has bucked the regional trend and seen an elephant baby boom. But despite the promising numbers, the species remains vulnerable.
