<p>A Plateau State Area Court in Jos has sentenced a 31-year-old man, identified as Sani Ukasha, for failing to produce an accused person he stood for surety.</p>, <p>DAILY POST reports that when the matter which was initially scheduled for judgment on Friday was mentioned, defence counsel filed a motion on notice, requesting the court to vacate earlier orders in favour of the prosecution which foreclosed them from filing their final written address on the matter.</p>, <p>“The police, in conjunction with all security agencies, will collaborate effectively to decisively deal with anyone that attempts to lay an attack on innocent civilians under the guise of whatsoever reason.</p>, <p>The Sokoto State Police Command said its personnel rejected a bribe of N800,000 and arrested no fewer than three suspects with twelve rolls of copper wires suspected to be stolen from an electric pole.</p>, <p>It informed that 12 persons, made up of five male adults, six female adults and one female child were involved in the crash, adding that the six female adults and the child lost their lives on the spot, while five male adults sustained injuries, including lacerations, bruises, cuts and fractures.</p>, <p>The spokesman also said on May 13, a team of detectives of the command attached to Bodinga Police Station in the state on visibility policing arrested four suspects with copper wires.</p>, <p>He explained that one Abu Hassan and Abubakar Sodiq were identified by one of their victims to be notorious kidnappers along the axis.</p>, <p>The Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of seven persons in a fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday at Rimin Zayam on the Bauchi-Jos highway while five others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash.</p>, <p>The injured, the report added, were taken to the Toro General Hospital for treatment while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.</p>, <p>The Ekiti State Police Command has paraded suspected kidn
