Poems by Samir Knego and Peter Bankson

<p>Samir Knego reads his poem, "<a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/poetry/post" target="_blank">Post</a>," and Peter Bankson reads his poem, "<a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/poetry/garlic-lover" target="_blank">Garlic Lover</a>." Both are published in our <a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/spring-2022" target="_blank">Spring 2022</a> issue.</p> <p>Samir Knego is a multidisciplinary artist and zinester. His current exhibition, <em>The Divine - dreams of disabled gods</em>, combines poetry and visual art and explores disability and ableism through the language and imagery of religion. When he’s not making art, Samir works in a library and listens to lots of heavy metal.</p> <p>Peter Bankson has been an active Steward of <a href="https://www.seekerschurch.org/">Seekers Church</a> in Washington, DC, for a long time, where he helps support the worship life of the community and keep the building in working order.
