<p>Ellis Purdie reads his poem, "<a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/poetry/praise-as-acrostic" target="_blank">Praise as Acrostic</a>," and Remi Recchia reads his two poems, "<a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/poetry/from-isaiah" target="_blank">From Isaiah</a>" and "<a href="https://www.vitapoetica.org/poetry/from-psalms" target="_blank">From Psalms</a>."</p> <p>Ellis Purdie is a graduate of The Center for Writers at The University of Southern Mississippi. Along with writing and teaching, he spends a good deal of time looking for herpetofauna in east Texas, where he lives with his wife, son, and daughter.</p> <p>Remi Recchia, author of <em>Quicksand/Stargazing</em> (Cooper Dillon Books, 2021) and <em>Sober</em> (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2022), is a trans poet and essayist from Kalamazoo, Michigan. A four-time Pushcart Prize nominee, Remi’s work has appeared or will soon appear in <em>Best New Poets 2021</em>, <em>World Literature Today</em>, <em>Columbia Online Journal</em>, <em>Harpur Palate</em>, and <em>Juked</em>, among others.
