Poem For The Black Bitch

<p>The Black Bitch is the Black Greyhound on the town of Linlithgow's coat of arms.</p> <p>It is also the name of a popular tavern in the town and the title given to any person, male or female</p> <p>born in the town. However since being bought by a Sussex based pub chain there is a real danger</p> <p>that the tavern will be renamed. They have decided that the very name is racist, sexist or both&nbsp;</p> <p>when in reality it is neither. This poem in Scots is written in support of the campaign to keep</p> <p>the tavern's traditional name.</p>
