In this conversation Dr. Hassink is joined by Blaise Nemeth, MD, MS who is a is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a non-operative pediatric orthopedics and pediatric obesity expert. Dr. Nemeth is also the lead author of the AAP policy titled “Physical Activity Assessment and Counseling in Pediatric Clinical Settings”. In this discussion they talk about various strategies for encouraging physical activity in patients while remaining sensitive to their unique needs and concerns.
