Parveen Shakir - Urdu Adab Ki Khushbu

<p><b>Parveen Shakir </b>(24 November 1952 – 26 December 1994) was a Pakistani <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poet">poet</a>, teacher and a civil servant of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_Pakistan">Government of Pakistan</a>.&nbsp; She is best known for her poems, which brought a distinctive feminine voice to Urdu literature, and for her consistent use of the rare grammatical feminine gender for the word "lover". She passed away too soon in a traffic accident at the age of 42.&nbsp; As a poet Parveen in a very subtle manner gave voice to the feelings of women about men. She never shied away from exploring social issues and taboos such as gender inequality, discrimination and prostitution.
