Paris Saint-Germain Rebound Against Stade Rennais

<p>Coming off the defeat to Newcastle United F.C. in the UEFA Champions League last week, Paris Saint-Germain had one more chance to get back on track before the international break.</p><p>On this episode of <a href="https://psgtalk.com/tag/psg-talking/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>PSG Talking</em></a>, I'm joined by <a href="https://twitter.com/psg_boise" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ethan from PSG Fan Club Boise</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/DaRealAK47" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Drew from Dallas</a> to break down <a href="https://www.eurosport.com/football/ligue-1/2023-2024/stade-rennais-v-paris-saint-germain-ligue-1-live_sto9825915/story.shtml" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PSG's 3-1 win over Stade Rennais</a>, and I get their thoughts on the performance against Newcastle.</p><p>Up first, we share our overall thoughts on PSG's performance away at Rennes, which is traditionally a tricky fixture for <em>Les Parisiens</em>. We highlight Luis Enrique's decision to go back to a traditional 4-3-3 formation and the return of Vitinha to the starting lineup.</p><p>Along with Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi had a standout performance against Rennes. We discuss his resurgence under Luis Enrique and how his partnership with Ousmane Dembélé led to both players elevating their game.</p><p>Kylian Mbappé had a strong xG against Rennes, but he failed to convert his numerous scoring opportunities, including a wide-open net opportunity.
