<p>Parenting truly is a mind fuck. Teenagers need you differently as they get older. Don't take anything personally. Keeping showing up. Even when they are at their worst. It's like you are on a tight rope. You are never going to know who's not going to be ok, when they are not going to be ok and why they are not going to be ok. And can we talk about how embarrassing some of the behaviour of coaches and parents are in hockey?? It's unacceptable behaviour and we all allow it. If children went to school and acted the way some of the coaches and parents are acting, they would get expelled.
