Overhauling government oversight in a post-Cuomo world

Dec. 17, 2021 - Senate Ethics & Internal Governance Committee Chair Alessandra Biaggi, a Westchester County Democrat, is taking another stab at beefing up oversight of New York's state government. She recently hosted a hearing, which explored the state comptroller's office's audit and procurement powers, and introduced a new bill reforming the selection process of the state's next inspector general.
