<p>Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the January 6th insurrection. While a lot of words were said, it remains to be seen whether the political will exists to defend democracy. Will we keep anti-majoritarian rules like the filibuster in place? Will we continue to support a Senate that grants disproportionate power to white, rural states and districts? What will this year’s elections bring? </p> <p>COVID rages and it appears our institutions are pretty much throwing in the towel. </p> <p>In a what-the-what news…lightning increased dramatically around the North Pole.
