Description

Very cold Arctic air will sit over the Tri-state region one more day with daytime temps in the teens, lows near zero and wind chills below zero. A band of light snow will move through in the morning north I-70 with ½” up to 2” along the KS/NE border. Tomorrow Arctic high-pressure shifts east and southerly flow warms temps into the low to mid 30’s and nighttime temps in the low teens. Saturday a ridge begins to rebuild out to the west bring northwest flow over the area warming daytime temps into the mid 40’s and overnight lows into the mid-teens. Sunday ridge expands over the area and more westerly flow keeps warming temps into the upper 50’s. Monday a minor upper-level trough moves through halting the warm-up briefly with slightly cooler temps in mid-50’s.
