<p>Today an upper-level ridge weakens, and flow becomes northwesterly, but remains warm with highs in the mid to upper 90’s.  A shortwave disturbance develops over northeast CO this afternoon and through the Tri-state area this evening with some scattered showers & storm chances.  Over the weekend upper-level trough moves through the northern Plains with stationary cool front sits over eastern CO and south of I-70/Hwy 40 in Kansas resulting in cooler temps in the 70’s and low 80’s and lows in the 50’s. Increased chances showers and storms are likely south of the area, unless front sets up a bit further north.  Monday the trough moves east into Great Lakes region and high pressure slides in from the northwest.  Tuesday high amplifies and shifts east warming temps to around 90-degrees.</p>
